Such horrible writing! I gave up only a few chapters in, as my mind was too tired trying to get past the stilted, bizarre writing. At first I thought this might be some kind of Mystery Science Theater gag book, but, no, the author just can't write. The story intrigued me, so I am sad I could not finish it. Protostar An Epic Space Adventure Series The StarCrossed Saga eBook Braxton A Cosby Reviews
If you like romance and sci fi combinations, you will love this book. From the cover art to the story line, this book will draw you into an experience worth having.
Braxton did a fantastic job writing this story. I enjoyed the story line, the characters and the awesome images he painted with his words. Since I love scifi adventure books Protostar quickly caught my eye. I would recommend this book to anyone of any age. In addition, I believe this book would be awesome for teens and young adults to read for school book reports. Looking forward to book 2 in the series.
William and Sydney are Star-Crossed from the beginning of this fun read. For my tastes the book was a little mushy with a lot of flirting. Which many readers will probably enjoy.
Don't get me wrong I am all for Love, but those scenes seemed to be written for young ladies.
When William moved forward with his mission I enjoyed the action and got hooked with the series. I will pick up the sequel.
Thank you Baxton for an enjoyable ride.
An interesting story and I am looking forward to reading the next in the series. I would have rated the story a five, but felt there were some slightly disjointed transitions. Of course, this could just be due to how long it has been since I was a teenager. ;)
I loved this book. It had been on my TBR list for a few months, but I hadn’t taken time to even pick it up until recently. Much to my delight, I was immediately drawn into the story following William on his mission to destroy the Star-child on Earth. I hadn’t intended to read past chapter one or two to start with, but once I started reading I couldn’t put Protostar down. And after William met Sydney, I was definitively hooked. I read it cover to cover in 24 hours, which is saying a lot considering my kids are on summer vacation. While the kids ran and played outside, I sat in my lawn chair and devoured this story. There were many twists and turns, and I couldn’t wait to see how William would handle the tough decisions he faced and what would happen after he realized he was truly falling for Sydney. The characters are so likeable, the story was intense, the danger was real, the romance was perfect, and I absolutely can’t wait to see what happens next in The Star-Crossed Saga! Science fiction and fantasy fans, young adult and grown alike, will enjoy this page-turning series. I highly recommend this book!
I started this series a bit backwards though in the proper chronological order considering that the prequel, which was published later, features the younger adventures of Prince William – and some of the forces that helped forge him and force his hand. Book 1 in The Star-Crossed Saga “Protostar” by Braxton A. Cosby beings Prince William’s epic battle with tradition and with himself as he faces down the destroyer of galaxies, and his own heart.
On the planet of Ontarius, Prince William is preparing to set off on a journey to redeem his family’s honor. A Star-Child has been born, found in a meteor landing on the planet Earth. Now, seventeen years later that child, Sydney, is a girl on the verge of womanhood. Raised by the woman who found her Sydney knows nothing of her origins, or her destiny.
Wrapping around a plot that is thick with Science-Fiction and romance, this is a fantasy thriller of a Romeo and Juliet. The Prince is meant to kill her, it is the only way to restore the honor to the laughing stock that is the Royal Family, but it seems that he, like his grandfather before him, will fail to kill the Star-Child.
Captivating and encompassing, Cosby has composed a novel worthy of praise – and one that you will most likely read again and again.
Am so happy I came across this interesting book with a very captivating story and easy plot to follow. I love the story line and the cover itself attracted my attention. I was recommended this book by a friend and once I started reading it, I could not put it down untill I finished reading it through. Even if the book was quite long, I never even noticed how I finished reading the book so fast. Characters are also well developed and this makes it seem real. A nice read. Congratulations to the author.
